I had been searching for Advent calendars for the kids...you know, the ones where you open a little door each day and there is a chocolate inside. Well, after searching the whole town of Lynden, I gave up. It was December 1st and I still had nothing for the kids. So, I decided to make my own. Below are a couple of pictures of what I came up with.

Those are so cute! Do you just glue or tape the candy bars to the ribbon? I need to make some for Dylan and Owen. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Amy! It works best to use a low temp glue gun, we've found out!
I used glue dots and have watched them fall off numerous times. So, I would suggest using a low temp glue gun...that's what I'll be using next year. I googled for the stocking template and then added the cotton balls to the top of the stockings for a personal added touch.
