Got any ideas?

It's Brenna's 10th birthday on April 5 and we have no idea what to get this girl for her birthday. She's not even 100% sure of what she wants. So, I decided it was time to enlist in some outside help. What do you get a 10 year old girl? I know that others are getting her some clothing so I don't really want to go that direction. Jason and I are stuck! We have never been so stuck on gifts before. Can't wait to see what you all come up with!

**I'll be back later to post about my scrapbooking weekend...

Van is loaded and ready

Just thought I would share one quick picture...I am packed and ready to go. I should be pulling out of here in about 2 hours. I am so looking forward to this little get away. It will be great to fellowship with really wonderful ladies and to get some more pages of Brenna's life documented and in an album. Have a great weekend and I will be back with more pictures later!

Call me crazy...

So, while I was loading the van, I realized that I still had not picked up any adhesive for scrappin' with and I needed a few other things as I am getting back into Brenna's album this weekend. So...I made a mad dash to Michael's. Of course, I made a few phone calls on the way in to see if anyone else may be needing any last minute supplies. I was there and back in an hour. GO ME!!! Okay, Back to getting ready for the weekend.

Only 1 more sleep...

What more must I say? Just getting ready for the big weekend. Time to start loading the van so I don't have to do it tomorrow with the extra kiddos that I have around me, asking a bunch of questions and getting under foot. The first thing to go in the van...the CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN! I cannot forget that.

Stay tuned for more on this wonderful weekend in a couple of days.

**Be praying for Jason as he will be completely outnumbered while I am gone. :)

Only 2 more sleeps!!

I am getting so excited for a weekend of scrapbooking!! My dear friend, Janice, holds an annual scrapbooking sleepover. We have a houseful of women and as much scrappin' stuff as we can fit in and we work on photo albums, and some times cards. We start Friday afternoon and go until Saturday evening. Some of us do find ourselves crawling into a bed sometime during the night, her family is so gracious in leaving the house and allowing us to take over their beds, and some of us stay up all night. I'm not sure how those who stay up all night actually get anything accomplished. I can't think clearly passed 11:00 pm, sometimes earlier, so the ideas for pages get pretty sketchy.

Janice does all of the cooking, some of us will assist, but she has all of the meals planned. I will be providing the chocolate fountain again this year. And, there will be snacks galore that we will all have along to share.

It will be a great weekend of fellowship and getting memories into albums.

Can't wait to share with you what was accomplished...other than eating. :)

It's been a month?!

For those of you wondering, I'm back! I just realized that it has been almost a month since I last blogged. Life with our family has just been very busy and crazy. I'm not really sure where to start with tonight's blog update.

I have been enjoying time with Miss Paige and my dear sister, I've had the Mister Misters (Wayne and Weston) here a few days so that Tanya, my dear sis-in-law,could go to the office, and I babysit every Thursday and Friday for two other kiddos. Life is full of kids at this home. I'm really looking forward to an amazing scrapbooking weekend that I have coming up. It will be good to get away and work on the photo albums again. The kids always love to see what I have accomplished at the end of the weekend.

Jason is being kept busy with work, worship prep for church and other stuff. He is an amazing husband, and dad! He helps keep me going with all the stuff that is going on in our lives and jumps in whenever he can and needs to, to get things done. He jumps in with homework help and teaches the girls piano. He also does meal prep, if something hasn't been started yet, while I'm at swimming with Brenna. Have I mentioned how amaing I think he is?!

Brenna has had swimming lessons every Tuesday and Thursday...free through the YMCA and Lions Club, or maybe it's the Kiwanis Club...hmmm, it's one of those "clubs"...for all 4th graders in the Lynden/Lynden Christian schools. She has really been enjoying that and we could't pass up free lessons. She is also kept busy with homework each night and we've been trying to keep up with piano lessons.

Alyssa is just going along with everything happening around here. She loves to sing and dance with her High School Musical cd. She continues to love school and sometimes wishes she had homework like Brenna..."Oh honey, just wait, your day is coming." If only she knew what she was asking for. Alyssa is still at a point where practicing piano is fun. She doesn't have the tough songs like Brenna yet so I'm waiting for the day when she informs us that practicing is no longer fun.

Ethan, is such a boy! He is busy, busy, busy. Did I mention that he was busy? Ethan loves to have play dates with his bestest buddy, Wayne. If you want to see Ethan get excited about the day, just tell him that Wayne is coming to play or that he is going to Wayne's house. I love nap time! Ethan doesn't necessarily take naps every day but most days he does. I have realized that my baby is growing up fast and I don't want to miss out on any moments of snuggling that I can get. So, on "nap days", we have started to just take time to snuggle on the couch for awhile. He runs and gets his 3 blankets, yes, you read that correctly, 3 blankets, and comes running to me on the couch and crawls up on my lap. He snuggles in and some days he will fall asleep in my arms. I love these days! It's hard to believe that Ethan will be going to Preschool this next fall. Where has the time gone?

Well, I'm sure there is plenty more to share but my brain is a little tired. I will try to be better about blogging. Sorry to those of you who have been looking for updates. Maybe next time I will have pictures... :)
